General information

ARCAmazon is collaborating to create a conservation corridor across the endangered Las Piedras watershed in Peru. We have created an 11,000 acre hectare conservation area and built a sustainable living center on the land. We're promoting responsible business activities with the local community, and generating rainforest art and media.

ARCAmazon is co-led by the charity's board of trustees and a multinational team representing a number of organizations including Wild Forests and Fauna (WFF), Fauna Forever and Relevant Films.

Las Piedras holds remarkable species abundance and diversity. It is also home to indigenous communities and some of the last remaining Indigenous People Living in Voluntary Isolation. The region is under immediate threat from rapidly expanding deforestation from the Interoceanic Highway and secondary road systems, as well as unsustainable community development and agriculture.
